There are six Atomos video monitor recorders currently available at Muzeek World: the Atomos Shogun, the Atomos Samurai Blade, the Atomos Ninja Blade, The Atomos Ninja 2, the Atomos Ronin and the Atomos Ronin Duo. There are also four “Bare Bones” versions that offer the same quality at a reduced price, but lack certain expansion options. Those are the Atomos Shogun Bare Bones, the Samurai Blade Bare Bones, the Ninja Blade Bare Bones and the Ninja 2 Bare Bones.
All Atomos video monitor recorders revolve around six main features: Hollywood-quality recording, long recording time, on set reviewing, video monitoring, audio monitoring and metadata tagging.
1) Hollywood-quality Recording
These devices record 4K (Shogun only) and HD footage straight from the sensor of the most popular cameras (Nikon, Canon, Sony, etc.). Recording from the camera’s sensor bypasses internal MPEG compression makes transcoding unnecessary. Both 422 10-bit Apple ProRes and Avid DNxHD/DNxHR recording and editing codecs are available on each Atomos device and bring post-production quality to the table. ProRes and DNxHD/DNxHR are the two most popular formats in Hollywood and the film industry. They allow for high quality, time-saving integration into Apple, Adobe and Avid workflows.
2) Long Recording Time
Recorded footage is written onto HDDs and SSDs. These media storage devices are affordable, reliable and allow for long recording times. You can get 10 hours of HD ProRes HQ on a 1TB HDD.
3) On Set Reviewing
Camera screens are often too small to allow on set reviewing. But Atomos video monitor recorders are just the right size! Comprehensive playback controls and monitoring tools allow you and your crew to instantly review recorded footage and uploaded content. In addition to that, you can send out footage to a larger monitor or television.
4) Video Monitoring
Every Atomos monitor recorder utilizes touchscreen technology to provide professional video monitoring solutions. Clear details and accurate colors compliment an advanced suite of tools for focus, color, exposure and framing.
5) Audio Monitoring
Each device offers audio monitoring and recording over HDMI/SDI. The Atomos Shogun offers a step up over that with balanced XLR!
6) Metadata Tagging
You can tag clips during both recording and playback. Tagged clips can be used to create Final Cut Pro/X projects.

The Shogun video monitor recorder features a 1920 x 1200 resolution display with 4K video recording and editing capabilities. Resolution can go up to UHD 4K (3840 x 2160) at 23.98, 24, 25, 29.97 and 30p, as well as Full HD (1920 x 1080) up to 120fps when used with compatible cameras. The seven-inch IPS touchscreen gives you clear monitoring detail and onscreen editing tools that include a full waveform monitor, focus peaking, vectorscope and more. Multi-frequency operation (48/50/60Hz) is supported and allows you to monitor a variety of input frame rates.

The Samurai Blade is a five-inch HD-SDI video monitor recorder. It has a 1280 x 720 resolution monitoring display and can record up to 1080/30p/60i. The HD-SDI input allows you to easily connect to your camera. The SDI loop output lets you loop out the camera signal to a larger SDI monitor, which can be done up to 300 feet away from the Samurai Blade. You can trigger recording START/STOP through your connected camera, as well as timecode sync. Onscreen tools include false color, blue only, focus peaking, waveform and more.
Atomos Ninja Blade

The Ninja Blade is nearly identical to the Samurai Blade, save for the I/O. While the Samurai Blade utilizes SDI, the Ninja Blade utilizes HDMI. This makes it compatible with a wide range of cameras, both professional and consumer-grade.

The Ninja 2 is essentially a smaller take on the Ninja Blade. It features a 4.3-inch 800 x 480 LCD touchscreen and HDMI I/O. The patented Continuous Dual Battery System automatically switches to secondary power when the primary runs out. This redundancy can be a life-saver out in the field.
Atomos Ronin

The Ronin is a broadcast-grade video monitor recorder. An optional rack mount kit allows it to fit in rack setups commonly found in broadcast vehicles and studios. Footage is captured from ISO, Live and Switched feeds straight to SSDs and/or HDDs. The 800 x 480 16:9 TFT color touchscreen functions as both a monitor and control surface. Audio capabilities allow for 12 channels of SDI-embedded 48kHz 16-bit audio and two channels of XLR balanced analog 48kHz 16-bit audio. There’s also +24dBu clipping level, 96dB SNR and adjustable input gain. The Ronin is driven by AC power, but features a continuous battery system for backup redundancy. It supports Atomos Connect HDMI converters.
Atomos Ronin Duo
