These two solid state drives are the first of their kind to be designed for use in critical uncompressed video capture applications. Though they’re not limited by uncompressed video because they can record in compressed video as well. Both of these Digistor SSDs are sturdy enough to stand up to any shocks or drops. The Digistor 240GB solid state drive and the Digistor 480GB solid state drive were crafted specifically for Blackmagic equipment. They work with the Blackmagic Cinema Camera, the Blackmagic Production Camera, the Blackmagic HyperDeck Studio, the Blackmagic HyperDeck Studio Pro and the Blackmagic HyperDeck Shuttle.
Digistor SSDs are hands down the best recording devices to use with Blackmagic Design equipment. They’re preformatted (in 2.5K compressed, RAW and 4K ProRes 4:2:2) so all you need to do is insert the drive into your Blackmagic camera or HyperDeck and you’re good to go! They also have a 9.5mm form factor for quick and easy installation. The Digistor 240GB SSD and the Digistor 480GB SSD are certified by Blackmagic Design, unlike other competing SSDs. While competing SSDs require multiple steps to format/reformat/update firmware in order to function, the Digistor SSDs work right out of the box! Both the Blackmagic Cinema Camera and the Blackmagic Production Camera offer high quality components in a sturdy design. Wide dynamic range allows you to shoot high quality footage regardless of location. This is true cinema quality footage with great attention to detail. The main difference between these cameras is the resolution. Blackmagic Cinema Cameras can go up to 2.5K, while Blackmagic Production Cameras have true 4K. The Blackmagic Cinema Camera comes in three different lens mount models: an EF mount, a PL mount and an MFT mount. The Blackmagic Production Camera comes in two different lens mount models: an EF mount and a PL mount. Any of these lens mount models can be chosen for your custom package.
