Denon is known for their high quality DVD players and CD players. Now they can also be known for their Blu-Ray players! Their line of three devices gives you access to premium audio/video components in compact enclosures. The three devices are the Denon DBT-1713UDP, the Denon DBT-3313UDCIP and the Denon DN-500BD. Let’s take a look at what makes these Denon Blu-Ray players so amazing!
Universal Disc Playability
The Denon DBT-1713UDP, Denon DBT-3313UDCIP and Denon DN-500BD feature universal disc playability. This means that they can play just about any disc format in existence! The following formats are supported for the DBT models: Blue-Ray Region A, DVD-Audio, DVD-Video Region 1, Super Audio CD and CD. These two Denon Blu-Ray players also feature quick response disc loading and playback, which is 20% faster than other models. The following formats are supported for the DN-500BD: BD-Video, BD-R, BD-RE, DVD-Video, DVD-Audio, DVD+R, DVD+RW (Video mode, AVCHD format), DVD-R, DVD-RW (Video mode, AVCHD format) and Audio CD (CD-R, CD-RW).
Front Panel USB Port
All three Denon Blu-Ray players feature a USB port on the front panel. This allows you to plug in your USB drive and playback audio, video and photo content! The DN-500BD supports the following USB file formats: MP3, WAV, FLAC, MP4, WMV, JPG, PNG and GIF. Denon has not specified what files are compatible with either the DBT-1713UPD or the DBT-3313UDCIP, but MP3 and WAV files are a given.
Video Streaming Services
The Denon DBT models offer compatibility with a wide variety of video streaming services. This includes Netflix, Hulu Plus, YouTube and VUDU. Unfortunately, this isn’t offered with the DN-500BD.
Rack Mount
All three models of Denon Blu-Ray players are rack mountable. The DN-500BD only takes up a single unit of space. Both DBT models take up two units of rack space. This makes it easy to fit these players into a jam-packed home entertainment system or rack setup.
