There are two NXAMP models that we have for sale: the Nexo NXAMP4X1 and the Nexo NXAMP4X4. The Nexo NXAMPs are advanced power amplifiers that mix premium digital signal processing (DSP) with precise parameter control. Both the NXAMP4X1 and the NXAMP4X4 have four channels, but vary in output capacity. The 4X1 has an output capacity of 1300W per channel under 2Ω, while the 4X4 has an output capacity of 4000W per channel under 2Ω. These NXAMPs can drive a wide range of Nexo speaker systems while providing a platform that enhances system performance. You can use these amplifiers to manage voltage, current and temperature sense lines in real time! There are also open slots that can accept network cards from EtherSound and Dante. Using network cards gives you access to all the capability and control found in digital audio networking!
The Nexo NXAMP4X1 and NXAMP4X4 have increased processing power in terms of CPU and DSP. Dual DSPs in each model offer a total processing power that’s 3.5 times as high as a Nexo NX242 fitted with an ES-4 NXtension board. Advanced 24-bit audio converters manage amp output and offer enhanced dynamic range with low latency. The NXAMPs feature switch mode power supplies. They’re full resonance types with half bridge converters. Low heat generation, high power efficiency and a compact size are possible thanks to the design of the power supplies. Zero Crossing Switch technology keeps noise to a minimum. The NXAMP4X4 utilizes four separate power supplies with a high power capacity and low load drive. Both NXAMP models feature unrivalled audio performance and low electromagnetic emission thanks to two converters that work parallel in the opposite phase. This also helps to cancel out noise.
Both of these Nexo amps make use of Yamaha EEEngine technology. This technology provides the audio quality of Class AB amplifiers with heat dissipation equivalent to that of Class D amplifiers.
